About Me

Welcome to my page. My name is Yvette and I am a Los Angeles native that has recently relocated to the Folsom area.  My background is mostly in marketing and operations management, but I recently fell in love with baking and decorating. I look back on my childhood and have fond memories of my mother baking in the kitchen and decorating cakes for family and friends. She was always so happy when clients would compliment her finished work. As children, we always looked forward to any cake scraps that were left over after a cake was completed. My siblings and I would compete over who would get the leftovers. I believe that this is where my love of sweets began. Now, as a stay at home mom myself, I found that I was yearning to learn more about baking. I started this journey by taking classes and practicing different baking techniques at home for my family and eventually sharing with friends. I soon became that mom that had the crazy treat table at all of our events. We were the "SUGAR" Party. From there on, my love and admiration for cookie decorating grew. Family and friends kept encouraging me to start a business, and this is how Sweetz By Veez came to be.

Being new to the area has its challenges. We have no family or friends nearby and I'm hoping that this treat endeavor will help me gain new friendships and clients to last a lifetime. Thank you for visiting my page and I hope to be able to make your next celebration a huge success.
